Gabrielle Bejani (b. 1995) is a French-Lebanese/Palestinian artist, based in London.
Drawing on the understanding that the personal is political, Bejani’s practice explores the emotional politics of vulnerability and dignity in the context of exile, belonging, and a collective pursuit for self-determination.
Her work is rooted in her diasporic anchoring, where identity and emotional allegiances operate simultaneously within, against and outside of fixed geographies and nation-states.
Working primarily in mixed-media paper collage, she combines ink, watercolour, and found materials to create layered, delicate paper collages that convey both vulnerability and strength.
